Dear art friends,
After studying foreign languages in Wrocław, completing training as an executive assistant and interior designer, and traveling from New York to Stockholm, I turned my passion into my profession and enjoy the creative collaboration with world-renowned artists.
In addition, I support various charity projects and would be delighted if you could also contribute with your donation.
Kind regards
Sincerely, Mariola Heinrich
Work of the Month
"I would like my pictures to look as if a human being had passed between them, like a snail, leaving a trail of the human presence and memory trace of past events, as the snail leaves its slime."
-Francis Bacon
"Sometimes I feel like I’m floating between places, between past and present. Maybe the reason is living abroad, going through moves and changes? Time passes and I become part of the new, yet at the same time I’m still not fully there.
I see my work as an expression of these feelings.
My inspiration mainly comes from all kinds of images that I transfer onto canvas or paper. What also inspires me are dreams. They are like stories that appear unconsciously while we sleep and disappear when we wake up. A kind of memory that, for some reason, stays in our minds. They are surreal—just like life can sometimes be. Alternating. Expressed in all colors and landscapes. Maybe that’s why the visual aspect of my work is a necessity. In simple terms: I like to create visually strong and accessible works.
Chance is another phenomenon that plays a role in my work, but it is a controlled one. I don’t wait for inspiration—I paint all the time. Some canvases feel disappointing, but the next one might be better. I’m guided more by my heart and soul than by my mind as I paint directly onto a canvas. The more you paint, the more it becomes “automatic,” so you don’t have to think anymore. And yet, there is always something that escapes you. That’s what I like about the process of creating—you never really know what the final result will be. Ideas change like everything around us. The surreal blends with reality. It’s all a matter of perception."
